The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) has extended the submission deadline for the IIAS 2026 Conference to 30 August 2026, giving scholars, practitioners, and policymakers additional time to contribute to its flagship annual conference.
Taking place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 17 to 20 November 2026, the conference will explore the theme “Growth for Society: Collaborative Governance, Social Innovation, and Public Value.” At a time marked by technological disruption, shifting global interdependencies, demographic change, climate challenges, and growing inequality, IIAS 2026 will examine how public administration can mobilise collaboration and innovation while strengthening public value.
The Call for Papers brings together a broad range of perspectives on contemporary public administration. Contributions will address issues ranging from collaborative governance, social innovation and comparative public administration to artificial intelligence, digital government, resilience, institutional capacity and public-sector performance. The main conference call welcomes theoretical, empirical, comparative and policy-oriented contributions, with both individual papers and panel proposals invited.
The programme also features a diverse set of thematic tracks, reflecting debates across different regions and administrative traditions. Among them are discussions on pay-for-success governance and social value, public administration in Indonesia, governing uncertainty and agentic AI, data-driven governance, Civic Tech, AI readiness in local governments, public administration education, plural knowledge systems, digital government in Latin America, and resilient governance in fragile states.
A selection of high-quality papers will also be considered for a special issue of the International Review of Administrative Sciences (IRAS), with an edited volume focusing on one of the conference’s core themes to be announced at a later stage.
Submit your abstract or panel proposal by 30 August and join our international public administration community in Seoul this November.
